Welcome to The Shepherd’s Sheep! We hope that you join us on this journey towards an intimate relationship with God through Bible Study, Teenage Bible Study, and exploring Bible Verses on different topics. We desire to hear God’s voice and draw closer to Him just like sheep know their shepherd’s voice.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27
Sheep Know the Shepherd’s Voice
As part of the sheep and shepherd relationship, sheep know and respond to only the voice of their shepherd. John 10:2-5 NIV describes the sheep and shepherd relationship.
“The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” ~ John 10:2-5 NIV
The sheep know the shepherd’s voice because the shepherd knows each of them by name, provides safety and security for each sheep and cares for the well-being of each sheep. Likewise, the sheep obey the shepherd because the sheep know the shepherd’s voice.
The Shepherd’s Sheep
In John 10:14-15 NIV, Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me–just as the Father knows me and I know the Father–and I lay down my life for the sheep.”
Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and we are his sheep. The Shepherd’s Sheep include disciples who desire to know, hear, seek and obey Jesus through a deeper relationship and faith journey with Him. Join The Shepherd’s Sheep as we journey closer in intimacy with Jesus through Bible Study, Teenage Bible Study, and in-depth exploration of Bible Verses on different topics.
